The environment and CBN
In the insurance industry, the consequences of climate change – extreme weather events, fires, water shortages, rising sea levels – are always front of mind. With predictions reminding us bushfires, floods and cyclones are here to stay, we‘ve got to be proactive to ensure the sustainability of our operations and that of the insurance industry which is directly impacted by extreme weather events. At the end of the day, we’re here to provide the best possible insurance outcomes for clients, and if our industry is impacted, this only becomes more difficult to achieve.
We are carbon neutral
CBN is proud to be a carbon-neutral organisation, offsetting our emissions through certified carbon credits and tree-planting efforts. Our commitment to carbon neutrality means we play an active role in the fight against climate change and ensure our business is sustainable and ready to take action into the future.

Our achievements so far…
We partnered with trace to become a carbon-neutral organisation
We measured the carbon emissions of our buildings and travel and offset these through certified carbon credits and tree planting. This has given us a benchmark, so that we can decrease our footprint year-on-year through the decisions we make
We have removed printed business cards in our business, and gone digital with Tapt
Promoting the activities and educating our community about CBN’s journey to net zero.
